HONGKONG, Sept. 6.-The Hongkong Gov- ernment to-day announced that Japanese assets here, estimated at £1,250,000, will be available. for distribution under the terms of the Japanese peace treaty. About £1m. will be devoted to form an endowment fund for Hong- kong University. The fund will be applied towards the provision of scholarships for local boys and girls.-Reuter.
